Ariana Scott 鈥22 Completes Summer Internship in Kenya Studying Clean Water
Ariana Scott 鈥22 was recently featured in a Tribune-Review article about her time spent in Africa this summer working on clean water projects.听
Scott, who is working towards her master鈥檚 degree in international development and public health at Pitt鈥檚 Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, earned degrees in sociology and political science from 新香港六合彩官网开奖.听
In June, she took a 13-hour flight from New York to Kenya and traveled across the country for seven weeks working on various water-related social and academic internship duties.
The internship, made possible through Pitt鈥檚 Center for African Studies, focused on community-managed borehole water projects, which are alternative sources of clean water for communities that do not have access to county provided water.
During her time at 新香港六合彩官网开奖, Ariana was on the Model United Nations team and was a Millenium Fellow working with a team of other 新香港六合彩官网开奖 students on sustainability projects. She was also an Eva Fleischner Scholar with the National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education at 新香港六合彩官网开奖.

Ariana was also featured on the as a recipient of the 2023 Cory L. Richards Memorial Scholarship. Scott and Elliot Harrison-Lee of Brown University were selected to receive the scholarship out of a pool of almost 300 applicants.听
