Women 5th, Men 9th in USTFCCCA Preseason Regional Rankings
The U.S. Track&Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has released its cross country preseason regional rankings and the Griffin cross country teams are both listed in the top 10. The Griffin women will begin the season fifth in the Atlantic Regional rankings. The fifth place rankings is the highest ever ranking for a Griffin women's cross country team in the regional poll. The team was also ranked fifth in a regional poll last season. The men's team begins the season as the ninth ranked team in the region. The SHU men were ranked as high as sixth last season. Both teams will begin their seasons on September 7th as they host the SHU Griffin Classic.
