Haines Named WVIAC Pitcher of the Week
Griffin left hander Alex Haines has been named the WVIAC Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.聽 Haines, a 6'4鈥 hurler from Greensburg, Pa., went the distance in an 8-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown. In the seven-inning shutout, he struck out eight and walked just two and gave up a mere three hits. Haines faced four batters over the minimum. The victory marked his third complete game of the season. Haines is now 4-0 on the year with a 1.72 ERA.
