Cary Presents at Midwest Political Science Association National Conference
Michael Cary, D.A., professor of political science and history, presented a paper, "Faith Based Initiatives in the New Deal: Clarence Pickett, the American Friends Service Committee, and the Subsistence Homestead Program," at the Midwest Political Science Association National Conference on April 4. Cary noted that the development of the New Deal Subsistence Housing Program gave Westmoreland County the community of Norvelt.
