GREENSBURG, PA- John Fogle, Athletic Director at ��������ϲʹ������� College, announced that Dawn Spence, the daughter of Darlene Spence of Leckrone, PA, has accepted a basketball scholarship. She will begin attending classes in the Fall 2001. “Dawn is a very hard worker and will contribute to the team immediately,” Fogle said. “She has been in a program that is consistently in playoff competition. She thrives on high-level competition. A senior at Albert Gallatin High School, Spence won the WNBA Sportsmanship Award as a forward on the girls’ basketball team. A member of the Art Club and National Honor Society, Spence was also selected as Student of the Month for December 2000 by the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. “I enjoyed ��������ϲʹ�������’s team spirit. They seem like a great group who work well together,” Spence said. “ I also liked the small college atmosphere.” Spence has not decided what she will major in at ��������ϲʹ�������.
